Oncology Massage
Every massage will be tailored to your specific needs. Whether you are in the middle of treatment and need some stress relief, or you've had surgery and are now feeling pain and discomfort from scar tissue or cording (85% of women experience cording after breast surgery) or general muscular aches and pains, we will come up with a plan to get you feeling as good as possible. A doctor's note is required
Oncology Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Surgery, whether curative or preventative, can cause a number of uncomfortable side effects. The sooner after surgery you can receive MLD, the better. We can reduce swelling and bruising, accelerate the healing process, and get you more comfortable in your skin, faster. When lymph node removal is involved, swelling is inevitable, but MLD can help move the fluid through, preventing or at least slowing down lymphedema. MLD is also a very light, rhythmic technique, having an effect on the nervous system, allowing you to relax. Red light therapy can also be performed if needed. A doctor's note is required.
Reiki
Reiki is ideal for individuals who are unable to receive traditional massage therapy, offering relaxation, supportive care, and stress relief. Reiki is a gentle, energy-focused therapy that provides emotional and nervous system support for individuals undergoing cancer treatment and recovery. This practice involves either light touch or hands positioned just above the body. By promoting profound relaxation, Reiki helps alleviate stress, fosters a sense of calm, and supports overall wellness during challenging periods.

Lauren was my Infusion Nurse for the past 2 years. I feel so blessed that she has been in my life and caring for me. She is fast, efficient, thorough, compassionate, thoughtful, and kind. She would suggest things to help me feel better such as, using the Calm App, finding meditation music and providing information on programs at Dana Farber or the YWCA to help strengthen my body/mind and relieve anxiety. I can recall on one occasion, Lauren took time out of her schedule and walked me over to the hospital nearby. I was suffering with pain in my back and she ensured I made it to the ER safely. She is part of the reasons why my body is healing so quickly. She is a Nurse Angel and deserves this recognition.
